Through the developments in communication technologies and systems, information which is accessible at any time and anywhere creates new communication media, and this leads to economic, political, social, and cultural changes. New professions are needed to analyse, manage and take part as active individuals in these changes. The undergraduate program of New Media and Communication aims to educate creative media experts capable of knowing the technical features of traditional and recent media tools, using media consciously and being aware of ethical responsibilities. Department of Communication Design offers courses for mass communication and social sciences and practical courses needed for communication and education of communication. Media aim to make concepts, techniques and applications of communication, which include web technologies, radio, television, cinema, press, magazines, newspapers, banners and corporate identity, useful for students. Students have information about the multidisciplinary structure of communication through theoretical and practical courses in the fields of multimedia design, web television, web radio, online journalism, digital publishing, e-state applications and social networks. Also, they can evaluate cultural and social life from a critical point of view. Equipped with knowledge and skills regarding recent communication technologies, students pursue careers within various sectors such as online journalism, advertising, mobile marketing and social media.
